The uber talented craftswomen at the LLI have been busy in creating some exceptional handmade products for the upcoming holiday season sale. These artisan women work meticulously on their handlooms, weaving these bright and festive products to help & support their families. A lot of love, care and passion go into every thread that they meticulously knot with their nimble fingers.
Our hand-knit scarves are made by Alejandra and Nelida, both skilled craftswomen with years of experience. It´s made using an Alpaca blend, so it’s super soft. They both do beautiful work and they’re very creative in their own ways, always thinking of new possibilities and products. This and many other scarf styles and colors will be available for purchase at the fairs.
Here’s is a tote bag, by Herminia, one of our newest artisans. She, in a few short months, has been able to develop an entire line of products based off of the iconic Peruvian textile fabric, shown in this incredible (and new!) bag featured in the photo below.
Those who have purchased products from LLI before might be familiar with Daria, LLI’s “resident” weaver. Daria’s loom is located in her home, where she works to support her family. Her products are extremely well made with love and care, as she is so passionate about her craft.
